DAVID FREEMAN  PhD, Mechanical Systems Engineer, Tantric Practitioner and Professional of the BDSM Arts

David has lived many lives: as a PhD developing advanced intelligence technologies, as the founder of Be Well. Be Orgasmic., facilitating international retreats and workshops in pleasure, intimacy, and self awareness, and for the last 5 years, as a professional Dominant of the BDSM arts. He is well versed in Orgasmic Meditation, Tantra and the Temple Arts, and holds certifications from the Trauma Research Foundation, The Academic of Therapy Wisdom and the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine.

BDSM, with its intricate interplay of roles, rituals, and dynamics, often evokes images of intense physical sensation or boundary-pushing intimacy. Yet, at its core, it offers a consensual and structured space for exploring kinks, fetishes, and fantasies. Whether driven by a desire to delve into our turn-ons and shadows or pursued for its therapeutic potential, BDSM creates a framework of clear boundaries, mutual consent, and open communication. This structure allows us to safely explore aspects of ourselves that might otherwise feel too vulnerable or hidden.

Beneath the surface, BDSM also holds profound psychological depth, offering a unique lens for understanding and addressing trauma. At first glance, the connection between BDSM and trauma may seem counterintuitive. BDSM thrives on consensual exploration, while trauma often stems from experiences of harm and non-consent. However, for many individuals, the two are deeply intertwined, as the intentionality and practices within BDSM can provide pathways toward empowerment, emotional release, and healing.

By creating a safe and compassionate environment, BDSM invites us to embrace our full selves – our desires, our vulnerabilities, our complexities, while fostering deeper alignment with our true identity. It not only nurtures personal growth, but also cultivates greater authenticity and connection in our relationshps.
