Sri Kala is a father, husband, music artist, and guide in creative freedom. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and rooted in Caribbean, Nigerian, and Cameroonian heritage, his identity and upbringing have deeply shaped his journey. Early on, he found community and self-expression through skateboarding, creating the All City Skate Jam, which evolved into the globally recognized Go Skate Day.
His experiences, including a spiritual awakening, led him to explore meditation, Reiki, and six transformative years as a Hare Krishna monk, where he studied Sanskrit and the healing power of sound.Music has always been central to Sri Kala’s life. His evolving sound blends hip hop, reggae, rock, R&B, and Afrobeat, reflecting his spiritual journey and connection to his African heritage. His latest album, “Unravel,” channels healing and transformation through organic sounds and ancestral rhythms.
Through workshops, retreats, and his co-founded platform “Actualize Music,” Sri Kala helps others unlock their creative potential and embrace authenticity. His mission is to inspire, uplift, and guide others toward healing and self-expression, using music and creativity as tools for transformation and connection.
